We are seeking a results-driven Mining Engineer to join our innovative team in Perth, Western Australia. You will lead open pit and underground development projects, collaborate with geologists and metallurgists, and optimize production while ensuring safety, compliance, and environmental stewardship.

Responsibility
- Lead comprehensive mine planning and scheduling for open pit and underground operations, ensuring optimal ore recovery and cost efficiency.
- Coordinate with geology, metallurgy, and production teams to develop and implement short- and long-term plans.
- Develop and review feasibility studies, mine designs, and life-of-mine plans using industry-standard software (Datamine, Vulcan, Surpac).
- Monitor safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance; promote a proactive safety culture on site.
- Drive ore control and reconciliation processes to maximize grade quality and production throughput.
- Support equipment selection, blasting optimization, and ventilation planning to improve efficiency.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to stakeholders and senior leadership.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a closely related field; Master's preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on mining engineering experience in open pit and/or underground operations.
- Professional accreditation or eligibility for Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent) in Australia.
- Strong proficiency in mine planning software (Datamine, Vulcan, Surpac) and data management.
- Solid understanding of rock mechanics, geotechnical risk assessment, and ore control techniques.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Commitment to safety regulations, environment, and community relations on mine sites.
- Willingness to relocate or commute to Perth; ability to work across multiple shifts as needed.
