What you will do includes leading design optimization, coordinating with geology and operations, and delivering high-quality technical reports that support decision making and budgets.

  • Prepare technical reports, schedules, and cost estimates for board review and project approvals.
  • Collaborate with geologists, metallurgists, and operations to implement blasting, sequencing, and production strategies.
  • Monitor and improve safety, environmental compliance, and sustainable mining practices across sites.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and field staff; lead technical reviews and design audits.

Qualification

  • Degree in Mining Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Minimum 8 years of mining project experience in open-pit or underground operations.
  • Proficiency with mine design software (Surpac, Deswik, Datamine); strong MS Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of geotechnical engineering, rock mechanics, and blasting design.
  • Proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with field operations.
