MC Music R&L (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking passionate and professional Music Teachers to join our vibrant program at Desa ParkCity in Kuala Lumpur. We welcome educators who specialize in drums, voice, flute, strings, guitar, and other instruments, and who can teach across age groups from beginners to advanced students. Both part-time and full-time positions are available with competitive compensation and opportunities to contribute to a growing, community-focused music school.
In this role you will deliver high-quality instruction, design customized lesson plans, assess progress, and help students prepare for performances, exams, and showcases. You will foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, encourage consistent practice, and motivate students to achieve their musical goals while developing technical skills, musicality, rhythm, ear training, and performance confidence. Collaboration with fellow instructors and participation in school events are essential components of this role.
Ideal candidates are energetic, reliable, and student-centered, with excellent communication skills for interacting with students and parents. Responsibility
- Deliver engaging music lessons across drums, voice, flute, strings, guitar, and other instruments for students of varying ages and skill levels.
- Design and implement personalized lesson plans, set learning objectives, and track student progress.
- Prepare students for recitals, examinations, auditions, and performances, and coordinate with parents on expectations and outcomes.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that fosters motivation, practice discipline, and musical curiosity.
- Adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles and abilities, employing a variety of instructional techniques and materials.
- Manage scheduling, attendance, and student records with accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with fellow instructors to align curriculum, share best practices, and participate in school events and showcases.
- Provide constructive feedback, celebrate milestones, and help students build confidence on stage and in practice.
Qualification
- Proficiency in drums, voice, flute, strings, and guitar; multi-instrument capability is highly valued.
- Proven teaching or tutoring experience with children and/or adults in a music setting.
- Degree in Music or related field; teaching certification or equivalent training is a plus.
- Strong English communication skills; additional languages such as Malay or Mandarin are beneficial.
- Ability to design engaging, age-appropriate lessons and assessments that align with student goals.
- Passion for music education, performance, and ongoing professional development.
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with part-time and full-time scheduling requirements.
- Familiarity with lesson planning software, progress tracking tools, and basic classroom management techniques.
