Pinnacle Notary & Signing Services is seeking a detail-oriented Notary Public/Signing Agent in New York to join our expanding team. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling, competitive pay, and opportunities to handle diverse document signings for individuals and businesses.
As a trusted notary in our network, you will verify identities, witness signatures, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You will work with mortgage lenders, title companies, and attorneys, providing mobile or in-office signings as needed.
Responsibility
- Verify identity and perform notarial acts according to New York law; administer oaths when required.
- Maintain accurate notary journal records and secure handling of all documents.
- Conduct mobile and in-office signings with professionalism and discretion.
- Review documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance prior to notarization.
- Explain notary procedures to signers and answer questions about notarial requirements.
- Coordinate with lenders, title companies, and attorneys to schedule signings and ensure timely deliveries.
- Safeguard client information and ensure compliance with privacy and data protection standards.
Qualification
- Valid New York Notary Public commission in good standing with active commission.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as notary or signing agent preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; professional and courteous demeanor.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills; reliable time management.
- Reliable transportation and access to a valid driver's license for local travel.
- Proficiency with document management tools and basic digital journaling; comfortable with e-signature platforms.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
- Discretion, confidentiality, and a clean background check; professional appearance.
