Responsibility
- Notarize signatures on a variety of documents in accordance with New York State laws and regulations.
- Administer oaths and affirmations when required by document type.
- Provide accurate identity verification, ensure journal entries are complete, and notary certificates are properly completed.
- Travel to client locations or perform in-office notarizations, while maintaining punctuality and professional appearance.
- Maintain meticulous records, safeguard confidential information, and ensure compliance with privacy policies.
- Communicate clearly with clients, lenders, and title companies; explain notary processes and answer questions.
- Provide exceptional customer service, manage scheduling, and uphold company standards for quality and integrity.
- Stay informed about changes in NY notary laws and best practices; participate in continuing education as required.
Qualification
- Current New York Notary Public commission with active status and ability to perform notarial acts.
- Proven experience with notary services and loan signings is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of New York notary laws, journal requirements, and certificate completion.
- Reliable transportation or access to mobile signing opportunities; valid driver's license is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail, ethics, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Exceptional communication skills; professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to manage time effectively, work independently, and handle fast-paced scheduling.
- Optional: E&O insurance or be willing to obtain coverage as required by clients or company.
