We seek a diligent, client-focused Notary Public to deliver reliable, compliant notarizations for residential and commercial clients. As a Notary Signing Agent, you will act as a trusted professional responsible for accurate document execution and identity verification across diverse scenarios. You will interact directly with clients, lenders, title companies, and real estate professionals, ensuring a smooth signing experience from start to finish. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and outcomes-focused, with a commitment to confidentiality and accuracy.
Responsibility
- Perform notarial acts (acknowledgments, jurats, oaths, affirmations, and copy certifications) in accordance with California law.
- Verify signer identity using approved methods and maintain compliant notary journals and records.
- Travel to client locations for loan signings, real estate closings, and general notarizations within the Bay Area.
- Review loan documents for consistency, explain signing procedures, and ensure signatures are placed correctly.
- Maintain document security, accurate record-keeping, and proper handling of sensitive information.
- Coordinate scheduling with lenders, title companies, and clients; manage expectations and timelines.
- Uphold professional standards, deliver exceptional customer service, and adhere to all regulatory requirements.
Qualification
- California Notary Public with active commission and E&O coverage or the ability to obtain prior to start.
- Minimum 2 years of notary experience, with a strong track record in loan signings preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management; outstanding communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel within San Francisco and surrounding areas; valid driver's license and insurance.
- Solid understanding of loan signing terminology, mortgage documents, and signing protocols.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and commitment to compliance with state laws and company policies.
