You will officiate with integrity, maintain on-field safety, and collaborate with fellow officials to ensure a positive game experience for players, coaches, and spectators.
Responsibility
- Officiate matches in accordance with league rules and standards, maintaining game flow and fair play.
- Make on-field decisions with clarity and confidence, communicating effectively to players and coaches.
- Manage player conduct, issue cautions and, when necessary, eject players following established protocols.
- Collaborate with assistant referees and the lead official to ensure accurate calls and safety on the field.
- Prepare and submit match reports and incident notes promptly after games.
- Attend pre-game briefings and post-game debriefs; stay current with rule updates and league policies.
- Demonstrate professionalism and uphold a positive image for the sport and organization.
Qualification
- Minimum 2 years of refereeing experience in organized leagues or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of local rules and IFAB/FIFA guidance applicable to the sport.
- Excellent decision-making, communication, and impartiality under pressure.
- Physical fitness to meet field standards and maintain pace during matches.
- Proven conflict resolution and interpersonal skills with players, coaches, and spectators.
- Certification or training in refereeing from a recognized body, or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
- Availability for evenings and weekends; ability to travel within the Greater Toronto Area.
