Join our elite network of referees delivering fair play across London's football matches. This part-time role offers flexible scheduling for weekend and weekday fixtures, competitive per-match compensation, and ongoing training support.
As a referee, you will apply the Laws of the Game, communicate decisions clearly, and maintain a safe, respectful environment for players, coaches, and spectators.
Responsibility
- Enforce the Laws of the Game and make accurate, timely decisions on the field.
- Position yourself effectively to observe play and anticipate actions.
- Communicate decisions clearly and calmly to players, coaches, and match officials.
- Manage match flow, handle disciplinary actions, and record incidents accurately.
- Collaborate with assistant referees and fourth official to ensure fair competition.
- Prepare for matches through pre-game checks and equipment verification.
- Maintain high standards of safety, sportsmanship, and inclusivity.
- Provide feedback and engage in ongoing development opportunities.
Qualification
- Minimum age 18; eligibility to work in the UK.
- Certification: current referee qualification with a recognized body (Laws of the Game); FIFA badge is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of the Laws of the Game and match control.
- Excellent communication and decision-making under pressure.
- Ability to work weekends, evenings, and during peak seasons; reliable transportation preferred.
- Good physical fitness and endurance; ability to move quickly and maintain concentration.
- Commitment to safety, fairness, and inclusivity; positive attitude and professionalism.
