As a trusted referee, you will officiate matches according to the relevant sport's laws, manage on-field conduct, and maintain accurate timekeeping and reporting. You will be supported by a professional operations team and provided with resources to enhance your officiating skills.
Responsibility
- Officiate assigned matches in accordance with league rules and match protocols.
- Enforce laws, maintain timekeeping, and manage start/stop of play.
- Ensure player and spectator safety; address misconduct with professionalism.
- Communicate decisions clearly to players, coaches, and teammates; manage on-field disputes calmly.
- Collaborate with fellow officials, coordinators, and league staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Complete pre-match checks, equipment verification, and post-match reporting accurately.
- Adapt to different sports, venues, and field conditions; demonstrate flexibility in scheduling.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of rules and participate in ongoing training and assessments.
Qualification
- Valid refereeing badge/certification for the relevant sport (e.g., football/soccer).
- Proven match officiating experience at amateur or semi-professional levels.
- Excellent decision-making under pressure and calm demeanor.
- Strong communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Good physical fitness; ability to meet the demands of full match duration and travel within the region.
- Thorough knowledge of sport laws and line-by-line rule application.
- Willingness to work weekends/evenings and travel within London and surrounding areas.
