Join our elite Refereeing team and shape the integrity of competitive play. We’re seeking skilled officials to manage matches across community leagues and youth academies in London.
You will ensure fair play, enforce laws of the game, and deliver timely, clear decisions with professionalism and respect for all participants, coaches, and spectators.
We offer flexible scheduling, training resources, and a clear path to higher assignments as you gain experience and confidence on the field.
Responsibility
- Officially oversee matches in assigned leagues, ensuring fair play and adherence to the Laws of the Game.
- Make on-field decisions promptly and communicate clearly to players and coaches.
- Maintain safety and control by managing player behavior and conflicts calmly.
- Record match events accurately and complete official reports as required.
- Collaborate with league administrators and other officials to ensure smooth operations.
- Attend mandatory training sessions and stay updated on changes to laws and interpretations.
- Mentor younger officials and support the development of referee standards across the program.
Qualification
- Previous refereeing experience at community, school, or youth levels is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the Laws of the Game and how to apply them consistently.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent physical fitness and endurance to stay mobile throughout matches.
- Ability to work flexible weekends and evenings; availability for multiple matches per week is valued.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to manage players, coaches, and spectators calmly.
- Valid safeguarding and first-aid certifications (or willingness to obtain).
