Responsibility
- Officiate matches in accordance with Laws of the Game and league-specific rules.
- Maintain on-field control, enforce fair play, and de-escalate conflicts with professionalism.
- Keep accurate match timing, track disciplinary actions, and report incidents succinctly.
- Communicate clearly with players, coaches, and fellow officials to ensure smooth game flow.
- Conduct pre-match checks of field, equipment, and safety conditions; ensure proper positioning and fitness for duty.
- Complete post-match reports and provide constructive feedback for development programs.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with rule changes and officiating best practices.
Qualification
- Minimum age 18+ and eligible to work in the UK.
- FA-certified referee or equivalent, or willingness to enroll in approved training and certification paths.
- Strong knowledge of Laws of the Game and standard match procedures.
- Excellent decision-making, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- High level of physical fitness and the ability to move and position effectively during matches.
- Reliable availability for evenings and weekends; willingness to travel across Greater Manchester.
- DBS check or willingness to obtain one; basic first-aid knowledge is a plus.
