As a referee, you will manage match flow, enforce laws, and communicate decisions clearly with players and coaches. You will collaborate with a team of officials and assign appropriate penalties when necessary.
Responsibility
- Enforce game rules and make timely, accurate on-field decisions.
- Manage match flow, timekeeping, and signaling with precise whistle use.
- Communicate decisions clearly with players, coaches, and teammates; de-escalate conflicts when needed.
- Collaborate with assistant referees and the fourth official to ensure fair play.
- Prioritize safety and ensure compliance with league policies and codes of conduct.
- Conduct thorough pre-game checks and maintain professionalism throughout the match.
- Prepare post-match reports and log incidents as required by the league.
- Represent the organization with integrity and build positive relationships with clubs and communities.
Qualification
- Local officiating accreditation preferred; willingness to complete required training.
- Strong knowledge of sport laws and the ability to apply them consistently.
- Excellent decision-making, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Physical fitness to meet match demands and move with play.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings and weekends.
- Previous refereeing experience at youth, amateur, or semi-pro levels.
- Resilience and ability to stay calm under pressure.
