Responsibility
- Lead engaging walking and bus tours, ensuring accurate historical context and lively storytelling.
- Present clear safety guidelines and manage guest needs across diverse groups.
- Engage with guests to tailor experiences based on interests and accessibility requirements.
- Coordinate with tour operations to ensure timely departures and efficient route planning.
- Provide recommendations for local eateries, attractions, and photography spots.
- Maintain pristine presentation, uniform standards, and equipment readiness.
- Handle guest questions, resolve issues, and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Assist with advance bookings, check-ins, and post-tour feedback collection.
Qualification
- Excellent verbal communication and storytelling abilities with clear pronunciation.
- Proven experience in guiding tours or public speaking; hotel, museum, or city guides welcome.
- Ability to engage diverse audiences and manage crowds with poise.
- Knowledge of New Orleans history, culture, and local hotspots is preferred.
- Fluent in English; multilingual skills (Spanish, French, Portuguese) a plus.
- Responsive, friendly, and highly customer-service oriented.
- Ability to stand for long periods and navigate urban routes; comfortable with walking tours.
- Basic first aid and safety awareness; CPR certification is a plus.
