Join Lumen Arts Collective, a premiere performing arts organization based in New York City. We produce innovative theatre, dance, and multidisciplinary works that engage diverse communities. We are seeking a dynamic Performing Arts Producer to lead production planning, budgets, partnerships, and fundraising initiatives for a busy slate of programs.
In this role, you will work closely with the Artistic Director, technical teams, and external partners to transform artistic ideas into realized performances that meet audience, budget, and schedule targets.
Responsibility
- Oversee end-to-end production planning for mainstage, experimental, and touring works.
- Develop and manage production budgets, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Coordinate casting, crew scheduling, venue logistics, technical rehearsals, and safety protocols.
- Negotiate contracts with artists, freelancers, venues, and vendors; monitor compliance.
- Lead fundraising support, grant reporting, sponsorship outreach, and donor stewardship.
- Build and maintain partnerships with schools, community organizations, and presenting venues.
- Ensure equitable practices, accessibility, and risk management across all productions.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Arts Administration, Theatre, Dance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of producing, stage management, or arts administration experience.
- Proven budgeting, grant reporting, and financial tracking abilities.
- Strong communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
- Familiarity with venue operations, contracts, and safety/union guidelines.
- Experience building partnerships and securing philanthropic support.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required by production schedules.
