Join a premier performing arts organization in New York City as a Producing Artist/Producer. You will lead multi-disciplinary productions from concept to curtain, collaborating with directors, designers, and artists to deliver memorable stage experiences.

We are seeking a strategic and hands-on producer who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves live performance, and can manage complex project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder relationships.

Responsibility

  • Oversee end-to-end production planning for stage shows, concerts, and performances from development to final delivery.
  • Lead budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure on-time, on-budget productions.
  • Coordinate casting, rehearsals, tech weeks, and performance logistics with directors, designers, and stage management teams.
  • Manage contracts, vendors, venues, and insurance, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with marketing and audience development teams to maximize attendance and revenue opportunities.
  • Provide on-site leadership during productions, troubleshooting and resolving issues in real-time.
  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.
  • Evaluate post-show outcomes and implement improvements for future seasons.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Theatre, Arts Administration, or related field; equivalent professional experience considered.
  • 5+ years of production or project management experience in theatre, dance, or live events.
  • Strong budget management and financial forecasting abilities.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.
  • Knowledge of safety, union, and venue regulations; experience with risk management.
  • Proficiency with production software (ArtsVision, CAT, or equivalent) and MS Office.
  • Passion for performing arts and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in programming.
