CityPulse Performing Arts Center is seeking a full-time Performing Arts Program Coordinator to join our dynamic team in New York City. The ideal candidate will oversee a diverse slate of programs, collaborate with artists, educators, and community partners, and help expand our audience through strategic programming and outreach.
As a key member of our programming team, you will manage schedules, coordinate productions, supervise volunteers, and ensure high-quality experiences for artists and audiences alike. Responsibility
- Develop and manage seasonal program schedules, auditions, and artist rosters.
- Coordinate productions, rehearsals, and technical requirements with production teams.
- Cultivate partnerships with schools, community organizations, and donors to expand audience reach.
- Oversee budgeting, contracts, and grant compliance for programs and events.
- Plan and execute outreach and marketing campaigns to promote performances.
- Manage volunteer and internship programs; supervise staff as needed.
- Ensure smooth operations during events, including ticketing, ushering, and front-of-house coordination.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Arts Administration, Theater, Dance, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in performing arts administration, programming, or events.
- Strong project management, budgeting, and stakeholder relations skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable with public speaking.
- Experience with CRM/ticketing systems or equivalent; familiarity with Tessitura, AudienceView, or similar.
- Knowledge of arts funding, grants, reporting, and compliance.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends during performances and events.
