Lumina Arts Collective is a leading NYC based nonprofit dedicated to fostering innovative performing arts. We search for a strategic and hands on Program Director to lead season development, artist relations, and high quality productions. This role blends curatorial vision with operational excellence to deliver compelling performances to diverse audiences.
As a key member of the leadership team, you will partner with artists, venues, educators, and funders to shape a resilient, exciting program that elevates emerging and established talent in the New York performing arts scene.
Responsibility
- Lead the end to end planning and execution of the season including concept development, budgeting, scheduling and production management
- Direct casting, rehearsal coordination, and performance logistics to ensure artistic quality and on time delivery
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with artists, venues, sponsors, schools and community partners
- Oversee fundraising activities including grant writing, donor stewardship, and sponsorship development
- Collaborate with marketing and education teams to craft audience engagement strategies
- Ensure compliance with safety, licensing, and venue requirements across all productions
- Monitor program metrics and prepare insightful reports for the board and stakeholders
Qualification
- Bachelor or equivalent in arts administration, theater, dance, or related field; master's preferred
- Minimum 5 years in performing arts programming, production, or artist management
- Proven track record in budgeting, grant writing, and fundraising
- Strong communication, negotiation, and intercultural collaboration skills
- Experience coordinating with artists, technicians, venues, schools, and community partners
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing schedules
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required
