We are seeking a highly skilled Petroleum Engineer to join our Houston team. You will drive reservoir understanding, optimize production, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to maximize value while upholding the highest standards of safety and environmental stewardship.
In this role, you will work on integrated subsurface studies, develop field development plans, and support drilling and completion programs. You will leverage simulation tools, data analytics, and industry best practices to improve recovery factors and reduce downtime. This is an opportunity to contribute to transformative projects across onshore and offshore assets.
Responsibility
- Lead reservoir engineering analyses, history matching, and dynamic modeling to optimize asset performance.
- Develop and audit field development plans, including well spacing, stimulation, and EOR strategies.
- Support drilling, completions, and workover programs with robust well planning and payback analysis.
- Collaborate with geoscience, operations, and safety teams to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations.
- Monitor production data, identify optimization opportunities, and implement incremental improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers, review models, and maintain high-quality documentation for regulatory and corporate purposes.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in reservoir engineering and field development in oil and gas projects.
- Strong proficiency with reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, PLANT, or similar) and data analytics tools.
- Solid understanding of EOR methods, well test interpretation, and asset economic evaluation.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or willingness to obtain within a defined timeframe; ability to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-oriented environment with travel to field locations as required.
