Job description
Join Crescent Energy Technologies, a leading operator in shale and offshore exploration. We are seeking a highly analytical Petroleum Engineer to optimize reservoirs, design development plans, and improve production economics.
In this role, you will collaborate with drilling, completions, and production teams to drive value across the asset portfolio. The ideal candidate blends technical excellence with practical field experience, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to communicate complex results to non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibility
- Lead reservoir management and simulation studies to optimize recovery and project economics.
- Evaluate reserves, decline curve analysis, material balance, and economic models.
- Develop field development plans, well spacing, and depletion strategies across mature and greenfield assets.
- Support drilling, completions, and stimulation programs with data-driven design and risk assessment.
- Optimize artificial lift, ESP/rod pump selection, and production optimization strategies.
- Monitor production data, history matching, and KPI tracking; present insights to cross-functional teams.
- Prepare technical reports, white papers, and external communications for stakeholders and partners.
- Ensure HSE compliance and quality assurance across all petroleum engineering activities.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering (Master's preferred).
- 5+ years in oil/gas operations with a proven track record in reservoir or production engineering.
- Proficiency with reservoir simulation and analytics tools (e.g., Eclipse, CMG, PETREL).
- Strong understanding of drilling, completions, artificial lift, and production optimization.
- Experience with Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) methods and phase behavior analysis.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data, make recommendations, and influence senior stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel and work in a multidisciplinary, fast-paced environment.
