Responsibility
- Accurately dispense medications and interpret prescriptions in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Counsel patients on medications, side effects, interactions, and safe usage.
- Verify and reconcile orders, monitor for potential drug interactions, and ensure patient safety.
- Lead and mentor pharmacy technicians and support staff to maintain efficient operations.
- Manage inventory, ordering, and controlled substance handling with precision.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of formularies, guidelines, and therapeutic recommendations.
- Collaborate with prescribers to optimize therapy and resolve medication-related problems.
- Ensure accurate documentation and regulatory compliance across all pharmacy activities.
Qualification
- Registered Pharmacist with current AHPRA registration to practice in New South Wales.
- Bachelor of Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 2 years of community pharmacy experience preferred.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with pharmacy software and point-of-sale systems; ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and high professional standards.
- Flexibility to work weekends or evenings as required by the store schedule.
