Responsibility
- Provide accurate prescription dispensing, medication counseling, and robust patient safety checks in line with legal and professional standards.
- Manage stock levels, perform regular audits, and oversee controlled drugs per regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with GPs, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to optimize treatment plans and patient outcomes.
- Deliver clinical services such as Medicines Use Reviews (MURs), New Medicine Service (NMS), and preventive care outreach.
- Develop and implement patient-centered services to improve adherence and health literacy.
- Mentor junior staff, train pharmacy assistants, and participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
- Utilize pharmacy software to streamline dispensing, labeling, and reporting while maintaining data integrity and privacy.
- Foster a welcoming, compliant, and efficient pharmacy environment with a focus on exceptional customer service.
Qualification
- GPhC-registered Pharmacist with valid UK registration and current practicing license.
- BPharm or MPharm degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum 2 years of community pharmacy experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of NHS services, formularies, prescribing processes, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills with a patient-centric mindset.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and IT literacy; ability to adapt to new technologies.
