Responsibility
- Ensure accurate dispensing and labeling of prescriptions with strict adherence to safety standards.
- Provide thorough patient counseling on medication usage, interactions, and side effects to promote safe therapy.
- Review medication therapy and reconcile prescriptions to prevent errors and optimize outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to implement effective treatment plans.
- Manage medication inventory, storage, and regulatory compliance in accordance with pharmacy laws.
- Support clinical initiatives such as immunization programs and medication therapy management.
- Assist patients with insurance processing, prior authorizations, and patient assistance programs as needed.
Qualification
- Doctor of Pharmacy PharmD from an accredited school.
- Active Pharmacist license in California or eligibility to obtain one.
- 1-3 years of retail or clinical pharmacy experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and patient service skills.
- Strong knowledge of drug regulations, safety protocols, and allergy/interaction checks.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and e-prescribing.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings.
