Responsibility
- Ensure accurate dispensing and medication labeling in accordance with legal and safety standards.
- Provide patient-focused counseling on medication use, side effects, and adherence strategies.
- Review prescribed therapies for potential interactions and contraindications.
- Support medication safety initiatives, including reconciliation, allergy checks, and adverse event reporting.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
- Contribute to clinical services such as immunization programs and chronic disease management where applicable.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and professional standards from GPhC.
Qualification
- Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) in good standing.
- Pharmacy degree (MPharm/PharmD) from an accredited program.
- Minimum 2-3 years of clinical or community pharmacy experience in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacotherapy, drug interactions, dosing, and medication safety.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient counseling.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software, e-prescribing, and record-keeping standards.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and manage competing priorities.
