Responsibility
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy and safety in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Counsel patients on how to use medications, potential side effects, and therapy optimization.
- Manage dispensing workflow to ensure timely, accurate medication delivery.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in medication therapy management and chronic disease management programs.
- Maintain precise documentation and ensure HIPAA and regulatory compliance.
- Mentor and train pharmacy technicians and support staff to uphold quality standards.
Qualification
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Current California Pharmacist license in good standing.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical or retail pharmacy experience.
- Strong communication and patient education skills.
- Proficiency with pharmacy information systems and automation.
- Solid knowledge of medication safety, drug interactions, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
