Responsibility
- Lead and supervise the pharmacy team, including pharmacists, technicians, and interns
- Ensure safe, accurate dispensing and prescription verification in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Oversee medication therapy management and patient counseling programs
- Develop and implement operational workflows to improve efficiency and reduce wait times
- Manage inventory, formulary adherence, and supplier relationships
- Monitor key performance metrics and drive continuous quality improvement
- Train and mentor staff; conduct performance reviews
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes
Qualification
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent; active pharmacist license in California
- Minimum 5 years of pharmacy practice experience, with 2+ years in leadership or management
- Strong knowledge of CMS, DEA, HIPAA, and state board regulations
- Exceptional clinical judgment, counseling, and patient communication skills
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage conflicts, and drive initiatives
- Experience with pharmacy information systems (e.g., Epic, QS/1, PioneerRx)
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and ethical standards
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
