Responsibility
- Verify prescriptions and dispense medications accurately while upholding safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Provide comprehensive patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, interactions, and adherence strategies.
- Conduct medication therapy management and chronic disease counseling to optimize patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to coordinate care and resolve drug-related problems.
- Manage controlled substances inventory, documentation, and regulatory compliance to ensure audit readiness.
- Lead daily pharmacy operations, optimize workflow, and implement quality assurance programs.
- Train and mentor pharmacy technicians; uphold company policies and HIPAA requirements.
Qualification
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree with active New York Pharmacist license.
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in community or clinical pharmacy (hospital or retail)
- Excellent patient counseling, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with dispensing software, e-prescribing, and medication reconciliation.
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends, in a collaborative team setting.
