Responsibility

  • Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care by interpreting prescriptions, ensuring accuracy, dosing, monitoring for drug interactions, and preventing adverse events.
  • Counsel patients on medication usage, safety, adherence, and lifestyle factors; address questions and concerns with empathy.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to optimize therapy and resolve medication-related issues.
  • Verify and dispense prescriptions accurately; manage medication therapy management (MTM) programs and chronic disease management initiatives.
  • Maintain pharmacy operations, ensure regulatory compliance (HIPAA, state board standards, DEA requirements), and uphold patient privacy and data security.
  • Lead a small team of technicians, supervise workflow, and ensure accurate compounding and preparation where applicable.
  • Participate in immunization services and clinical programs; document immunizations and maintain appropriate records.

Qualification

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree and active Pharmacist license in Massachusetts or eligibility to obtain licensure.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical or community pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Strong patient communication, counseling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid knowledge of pharmacology, medication therapy management, drug interactions, and safety protocols.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy management software and electronic medical records; comfort with technology and data analysis.
  • Commitment to accuracy, attention to detail, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with excellent teamwork and time management.
