Responsibility
- Verify and dispense prescription medications with accuracy and safety, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Provide expert medication counseling and MTM services to patients, caregivers, and health plan members.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to optimize therapy and resolve drug-related problems.
- Oversee pharmacy operations including inventory management, controlled substance handling, and reimbursement processes.
- Maintain accurate patient records, ensure HIPAA compliance, and protect patient privacy.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
- Mentor and train pharmacy technicians and support staff to uphold high service standards.
Qualification
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Active pharmacist license in Washington State (or eligible for licensure).
- Minimum 1-3 years of community pharmacy experience (retail or outpatient).
- Strong clinical knowledge, with ability to interpret drug interactions and contraindications.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to counsel diverse patient populations.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management systems; meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
