Job description

The Cambridge Institute for Philosophy (CIP) invites applications for a full-time Philosophy Lecturer to join our vibrant department in Cambridge, MA. The successful candidate will excel in teaching, scholarship, and service, contributing to a diverse and inclusive academic community.

We seek a scholar with a demonstrated record of high-quality teaching and ongoing research in areas within philosophy such as ethics, metaphysics, philosophy of mind, logic, or social/political philosophy. Responsibility

Qualification

  • PhD in Philosophy or a closely related field by the start date.
  • Strong teaching portfolio with evidence of effective instruction and student mentorship.
  • Active research agenda with record of scholarly publications.
  • Familiarity with inclusive pedagogy and commitment to supporting a diverse student body.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a collegial department and participate in service duties.
