Lumina Institute for Philosophy, a premier destination for rigorous inquiry and inclusive education, invites applications for a Philosophy Lecturer and Research Fellow.
The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate and graduate programs; design and deliver engaging seminars; supervise student research; and advance scholarly work through publications and conference participation.
We seek an expert in ethics, epistemology, metaphysics, or political philosophy who demonstrates a track record of teaching excellence and a commitment to mentorship, intellectual diversity, and public engagement.

Responsibility
- Design, teach, and assess undergraduate and graduate philosophy courses with clear learning outcomes.
- Lead seminars, supervise student research projects, and provide mentorship to graduate students.
- Develop innovative curricula and integrate contemporary philosophical methods and digital resources.
- Engage in scholarly research, publish in peer-reviewed venues, and present at conferences.
- Contribute to service duties including committee work, accreditation processes, and program development.
- Participate in outreach and public philosophy initiatives to promote critical thinking in the broader community.
Qualification
- PhD in Philosophy or a closely related field by start date; or nearing completion with strong scholarly record.
- Evidence of exceptional teaching ability across diverse student populations.
- Strong research agenda with publications in reputable journals or comparable venues.
- Proficiency in teaching core areas such as ethics, epistemology, or metaphysics; ability to teach introductory to advanced courses.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to present complex ideas clearly.
- Commitment to inclusivity, diversity, and mentorship; willingness to contribute to program development.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, interdisciplinary humanities environment.
