Aurora Institute of Philosophy is seeking a dedicated Philosophy Lecturer and Curriculum Developer to join our faculty in Boston. This role blends classroom instruction with curricular design, fostering critical thinking and ethical reasoning across undergraduate programs.

Responsibility
- Deliver engaging undergraduate philosophy lectures and seminars, with emphasis on analytic and continental traditions.
- Design and revise course syllabi, assessments, and learning outcomes aligned with program goals.
- Develop new online and in-person modules that integrate ethical theory, logic, and applied philosophy.
- Mentor students, supervise senior theses, and provide constructive feedback to foster academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, assessment analytics, and program accreditation.
- Engage in scholarly research, publish articles, and present at local or national conferences.
- Contribute to inclusive teaching practices, diversity initiatives, and student support initiatives.
- Participate in departmental service, committee work, and outreach activities to promote philosophy to broader audiences.
Qualification
- Ph.D. or equivalent in Philosophy or a closely related field; ABD candidates considered with demonstrated progress.
- Minimum 3 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate level; strong classroom presence and organization skills.
- Evidence of effective curriculum development and instructional design.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with published research preferred.
- Experience with online learning platforms and innovative assessment methods.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching and mentorship.
- Ability to collaborate across disciplines and contribute to a vibrant academic community.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States and ability to travel for conferences as needed.
