We seek a driven Philosophy Research & Education Specialist to advance ethical inquiry, logic, and critical thinking through rigorous research, compelling writing, and engaging pedagogy. This is a full-time role with hybrid options, offering growth in scholarly impact and public-facing discourse.
As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will collaborate with faculty, publish in peer-reviewed journals, contribute to curriculum development, and design seminars that challenge conventional assumptions.
Responsibility
- Lead original philosophical research in ethics, epistemology, or logic, and publish findings in peer-reviewed venues.
- Design and deliver undergraduate and graduate seminars with rigorous assessment and feedback.
- Develop course materials, syllabi, rubrics, and learning outcomes aligned with program goals.
- Mentor students and supervise research assistants, fostering critical thinking and scholarly growth.
- Collaborate with faculty from related disciplines to apply philosophical insights to contemporary problems.
- Contribute to grant proposals and manage project deliverables and milestones.
- Present research at conferences and engage in public-facing talks and media appearances.
Qualification
- PhD in Philosophy or a demonstrated equivalent research record.
- Strong publication history in ethics, epistemology, logic, or related areas.
- Experience teaching at the university level and developing curricula.
- Excellent writing and communication skills with ability to translate complex ideas clearly.
- Proficiency with research methods, scholarly databases, and academic software.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with diverse student populations.
- Interest in pursuing external funding through grants and partnerships.
- Commitment to ethical inquiry and intellectual rigour in teaching and scholarship.
