Join a leading interdisciplinary think tank in New York City dedicated to advancing ethical analysis in technology and policy. The Philosophy Research Fellow will conduct rigorous research at the intersection of moral philosophy, AI ethics, and public policy.

Responsibility
- Lead independent and collaborative research projects on AI ethics, digital rights, and moral decision-making.
- Publish peer reviewed articles, policy briefs, and op-eds that translate complex theory for diverse audiences.
- Present findings at internal seminars, conferences, and public events; defend methodologies and conclusions.
- Collaborate with data scientists, ethicists, and policy analysts to design ethically sound AI frameworks.
- Contribute to grant applications, project proposals, and program design for funded research.
- Mentor junior researchers, interns, and visiting scholars; foster an inclusive, rigorous research culture.
- Develop seminars and educational materials for graduate and undergraduate audiences.
- Translate research into actionable policy recommendations and organizational practices.
Qualification
- PhD in Philosophy or a closely related field with a focus on ethics, moral philosophy, or philosophy of technology.
- Strong expertise in AI ethics, applied ethics, and contemporary moral theory.
- Proven research track record with publications in top journals and experience in policy relevant work.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct rigorous qualitative and, if applicable, quantitative analysis.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate complex ideas to non specialists.
- Experience collaborating in interdisciplinary teams and with external stakeholders.
- Grant writing, project management, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Teaching or mentoring experience at the university or equivalent setting is a plus.
