Responsibility
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plating strip lines and barrel lines to maximize uptime and product quality.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and chemical processes; implement root-cause analysis and sustainable fixes.
- Monitor process parameters, calibrate equipment, and adjust settings to meet plating specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections, replace worn parts, and manage spare parts inventory.
- Collaborate with production and QA to document issues, deviations, and corrective actions in the CMMS.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and hygiene standards; maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by documenting performance data and suggesting process optimizations.
Qualification
- Diploma or technical certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in plating, metal finishing, or manufacturing environments; familiarity with plating equipment preferred.
- Experience with PLCs, sensors, pumps, and instrumentation used in plating processes.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally with production, quality, and engineering teams.
- Knowledge of safety protocols, hazardous materials handling, and environmental compliance.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and process documentation; good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with computer-based maintenance management systems (CMMS) and data logging; basic Excel/Word skills.
