Responsibility
- Conduct rigorous policy research on current legislative proposals, regulatory changes, and budgetary implications.
- Analyze data from sources such as government reports, think tanks, and academic studies to inform decisions.
- Prepare concise briefs, white papers, and memos for senior leadership, committees, and external partners.
- Monitor policy developments and coordinate with cross-functional teams to shape policy positions.
- Engage with coalitions, policymakers, and stakeholders to advance advocacy goals.
- Communicate complex policy concepts clearly through spoken and written formats and create data-driven visuals.
Qualification
- Bachelorβs degree in political science, public policy, economics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of policy analysis, legislative affairs, or public affairs experience.
- Strong research methods, quantitative analysis, and proficiency with Excel and data visualization tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to diverse audiences.
- Experience with coalition-building, stakeholder engagement, and targeted outreach.
- Familiarity with federal and/or state policy processes and DC policy landscape.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
