Join our policy team in Washington, DC as a Policy Analyst. This role bridges research, policy insight, and strategic communication to influence public policy and drive meaningful outcomes for diverse communities.
You will transform complex legislative and regulatory topics into clear, actionable recommendations, collaborating with cross-functional teams to support advocacy, research, and program impact.
Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive policy research and issue mapping across federal and local contexts.
- Monitor and analyze legislation, regulations, and agency actions; maintain current tracking dashboards.
- Draft policy briefs, memos, white papers, and testimony materials for internal and external audiences.
- Compile data visualizations and summaries to inform strategic decisions.
- Engage with policymakers, coalitions, and stakeholders to gather insights and build partnerships.
- Prepare persuasive presentations for leadership, executives, and external audiences.
- Support budgetary and impact analyses to assess policy options.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Economics, or related field; master's preferred.
- 4+ years of policy research, public affairs, or legislative analysis experience.
- Strong analytical, research, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools, MS Excel, and basic data visualization; experience with research databases.
- Knowledge of the U.S. legislative process and DC policy environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting; U.S. work authorization.
