Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive policy research across domestic and regulatory issues, synthesizing findings into concise briefs.
- Develop data driven policy recommendations and scenario analyses to inform client strategy and public messaging.
- Monitor legislative developments, regulatory proposals, and political trends with timely reporting.
- Collaborate with communications and government affairs teams to craft persuasive policy memos, talking points, and briefs.
- Engage with stakeholders, including lawmakers, think tanks, and advocacy groups, to gather insights.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to clients and internal leadership; translate complex data for non-technical audiences.
- Manage multiple research projects with strict attention to deadlines and quality standards.
- Maintain rigorous sourcing and documentation, ensuring ethics and transparency in all work.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, economics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 2-5 years of policy research or government affairs experience; think tank or consultancy background a plus.
- Strong analytical skills; ability to synthesize complex information into clear summaries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; public speaking experience a plus.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (eg, Excel, Tableau) and research databases.
- Familiarity with federal legislative processes and regulatory frameworks.
- High integrity, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast paced, client-focused environment; remote work options may be available.
