Job description

We are seeking a results-driven Policy Analyst to join our public affairs team in Washington, DC. You will research, analyze, and translate complex policy issues into actionable insights for policymakers, stakeholders, and the public.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance policy agendas, monitor legislative developments, and craft compelling briefing materials.

What you'll do includes transforming research into executive briefs, providing data-driven recommendations, and supporting advocacy efforts with rigorous analysis and clear communication.

Responsibility

  • Conduct comprehensive policy research, analyze data, and synthesize findings into actionable briefs for leadership.
  • Monitor federal, state, and local legislative developments; track bills, amendments, and regulatory changes.
  • Develop policy memos, impact assessments, and white papers to inform strategy and communications.
  • Engage with stakeholders across government, think tanks, NGOs, and industry to gather insights and build coalitions.
  • Collaborate with communications to craft messaging, op-eds, fact sheets, and briefing materials.
  • Support legislative strategy development and advocacy planning; prepare testimony summaries and talking points.
  • Manage policy project timelines, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality outputs.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or related field; master's preferred.
  • 3-5 years of policy analysis or public affairs experience, preferably in government, think tanks, or campaigns.
  • Strong research skills with ability to evaluate sources, synthesize data, and produce clear briefs.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (Excel, Tableau) and basic statistical reasoning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; experience with testimony preparation and media briefings.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and coalition-building experience.
