We are seeking a proactive Policy Analyst who thrives in a fast-paced political environment, excels at research, and can translate complex data into persuasive narratives.
As part of our Policy & Research team, you will work on current legislative priorities, provide briefings to stakeholders, and contribute to client-ready reports and strategy recommendations.
Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive policy research on current legislative priorities at federal and state levels.
- Monitor bills, amendments, and regulatory actions; maintain trackers and alerts.
- Analyze data, synthesize findings, and prepare briefing memos and client-ready reports.
- Draft policy memos, issue briefs, and testimony materials for internal and client purposes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including communications, government relations, and analytics.
- Engage with stakeholders, including policymakers, think tanks, and advocacy groups; attend hearings as needed.
- Translate complex policy concepts into clear, actionable recommendations and supporting visuals.
- Support development of policy proposals and impact assessments; contribute to thought leadership.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, economics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 2-5 years of policy analysis, government affairs, or legislative research experience.
- Strong understanding of U.S. legislative process and regulatory environment.
- Proficiency in data analysis (Excel, SQL, or comparable) and ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; experience briefing stakeholders and presenting to diverse audiences.
- Detail-oriented, analytical thinker with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines in a political environment.
- Familiarity with policy research tools, public data sources, and policy databases.
