Responsibility

  • Conduct comprehensive policy research across health, education, economic policy, and governance to inform policy briefs and recommendations.
  • Monitor legislative developments, regulatory changes, and public forums at federal and local levels to anticipate impact and opportunities.
  • Draft policy memos, briefing papers, issue briefs, and synthesized analyses for internal teams and external partners.
  • Collaborate with government agencies, think tanks, NGOs, and industry stakeholders to gather diverse perspectives.
  • Support the design and execution of advocacy campaigns and communications materials for policy initiatives.
  • Manage research projects, timelines, and cross-functional coordination; contribute to grant reporting and outcomes measurement.
  • Present findings to senior leadership and external partners with clarity and actionable recommendations.

Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, economics, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of policy research or analyst experience, preferably within a U.S. policy environment.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills; proficiency with Excel, R, Python, or similar tools for data interpretation.
  • Excellent report writing and editing abilities; adept at translating complex topics for non-expert audiences.
  • Experience with legislative tracking tools and policy documentation; familiarity with CQ, LegiScan, or StateTrack is a plus.
  • Superior written and verbal communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting; DC area residents or willing to relocate preferred.
