Responsibility
- Conduct rigorous policy research on legislative, regulatory, and governance issues with a focus on U.S. public policy.
- Monitor, analyze, and summarize developments in Congress, the executive branch, and relevant agencies.
- Develop concise policy briefs, issue papers, and briefing materials for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Support stakeholder engagement strategies with policymakers, coalitions, NGOs, and think tanks.
- Translate complex data into accessible visuals and narratives to inform advocacy and communications.
- Collaborate with communications, program, and research teams to shape policy-focused messaging and events.
- Prepare dashboards and periodic reports to track policy trends and program performance.
- Ensure research quality, ethical standards, and timely delivery in a fast-moving policy environment.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Economics, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in public policy, government affairs, research, or related roles with emphasis on U.S. policy.
- Strong research methodology, legislative tracking, and policy analysis capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present complex topics clearly to diverse audiences.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (Excel; familiarity with R or Python) and basic data visualization.
- Experience engaging with policymakers, coalitions, NGOs, and media outlets.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines, and maintain meticulous attention to detail.
- Commitment to ethical standards and handling of sensitive information in a confidential manner.
