As a Policy Analyst, you will turn complex political developments into actionable recommendations, support strategic initiatives, and contribute to client briefs and public-facing materials that shape policy outcomes.
Responsibility
- Conduct in-depth policy research across domestic and legislative issues, synthesizing complex information into accessible briefs.
- Track and analyze legislative developments, regulatory changes, and political trends to forecast impact on stakeholders.
- Prepare data-driven reports, memos, and policy recommendations for clients or internal teams.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including communications, campaigns, and legal, to develop policy positions.
- Support outreach to policymakers, think tanks, and advocacy groups; represent the organization at events as needed.
- Develop and maintain policy databases, briefings, and issue trackers ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Translate research findings into persuasive materials for public-facing channels and stakeholders.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, Economics, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
- 3-5 years of policy analysis or government affairs experience in a political or public policy setting.
- Strong understanding of U.S. policy landscape, with exposure to legislative processes and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent research, critical thinking, and quantitative skills; experience with data visualization is a plus.
- Proven ability to translate complex information into clear, concise, and actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience preparing policy briefs and testimony is a plus.
- Strong project management and stakeholder management abilities; detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with research tools, databases, and Microsoft Office; experience with policy databases is a plus.
