Capitol Policy Partners is seeking a proactive Policy Analyst to join our Washington, DC office. This role focuses on rigorous policy research, data interpretation, and strategic recommendations across multiple issue areas including governance, elections, and public engagement.
In this position you will collaborate with policymakers, researchers, and communications teams to translate complex research into actionable policy briefs, testimony summaries, and client-ready reports. You will monitor legislative developments, evaluate policy proposals, and help shape evidence-based policy positions.

Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive policy research and data analysis to support advocacy and client projects.
- Monitor and summarize federal and local legislation, regulations, and political developments.
- Prepare policy briefs, issue briefs, and testimony-ready reports for diverse audiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop policy recommendations and strategic communications.
- Engage with stakeholders, think tanks, and government officials to gather input and build consensus.
- Assist in project management, including timelines, deliverables, and quality control.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field; master's preferred.
- 2-4 years of policy analysis or government affairs experience.
- Strong research, data interpretation, and analytical writing skills.
- Familiarity with legislative processes, regulatory frameworks, and public policy debates.
- Excellent communication skills, including ability to present complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in research tools, data visualization, and MS Office; experience with policy databases is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
