Responsibility
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons for Year 1-4 across the Australian Curriculum, with a focus on literacy and numeracy.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Assess student progress using formative and summative methods and provide timely feedback to students and families.
- Create an inclusive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that supports wellbeing and creativity.
- Implement effective classroom routines and positive behaviour strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, librarians, and specialists to plan integrated learning experiences.
- Utilise data and assessments to inform planning and track student growth toward learning goals.
- Maintain open communication with families through parent-teacher conferences and regular updates.
Qualification
- Bachelor of Education or equivalent teaching qualification recognized for NSW teaching registration.
- Eligibility for teacher registration with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).
- Minimum 2 years of primary classroom teaching experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of NSW Curriculum (English, Mathematics, and Inquiry) and best practices in early literacy and numeracy.
- Demonstrated classroom management, differentiation, and inclusive education skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork abilities with students, families, and staff.
- Proficiency with classroom technologies and data-driven instruction.
- Commitment to child well-being, safety, and high professional standards.
