Responsibility
- Plan and deliver high-quality literacy and numeracy lessons aligned to NSW curriculum, differentiating for diverse learner needs.
- Assess student progress using structured observations and formative assessment, providing actionable feedback to students and families.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behaviour, resilience, and collaboration.
- Incorporate ICT and interactive learning tools to enhance student engagement and digital literacy.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff, and leaders to design cross-curricular projects and school events.
- Monitor student welfare, identify learners needing additional support, and implement appropriate interventions.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about progress, goals, and classroom activities.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
Qualification
- Bachelor of Education (Primary) or equivalent teaching qualification recognized by Australian authorities.
- Current teaching registration with the relevant Australian authority (e.g., AITSL).
- Minimum 2 years of primary classroom teaching experience (Newly qualified teachers welcome with a supportive induction).
- Strong knowledge of the NSW syllabus, assessment practices, and inclusive education strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, families, and staff.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and manage a diverse classroom with empathy and high expectations.
