Responsibility
- Plan and deliver engaging literacy and numeracy instruction aligned to curriculum standards for grades 1-5.
- Foster an inclusive, respectful, and stimulating classroom culture that supports diverse learners.
- Assess student progress using a range of methods and provide timely, actionable feedback.
- Collaborate with grade teams, specialists, and families to plan and monitor individualized learning plans.
- Establish clear routines, positive behavior expectations, and a safe learning environment.
- Integrate technology, inquiry, and project based learning to enhance student engagement and critical thinking.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and contribute to school wide initiatives.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Education or an approved teaching credential
- Valid teaching credential for California or eligibility to obtain
- Minimum 2 years of elementary teaching experience (preferred)
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners' needs
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- K through 5 curriculum knowledge and child development understanding
- Experience with inclusive education and learners with diverse needs
- Collaborative mindset and effective parent communication
