Responsibility
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons for students in Grades K-5.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners and fosters a love of learning.
- Assess student progress using formative and summative methods; maintain accurate records.
- Differentiate instruction and provide targeted interventions as needed.
- Manage classroom routines and behavior using positive, proactive strategies.
- Collaborate with grade-level teams, specialists, and families through regular communication.
- Integrate technology and hands-on activities to enhance learning.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field; valid New York State teaching certification or eligibility.
- 1-2 years of classroom teaching experience in K-5 preferred; strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent literacy and numeracy instructional abilities aligned to state standards.
- Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and support diverse learners.
- Proficiency with educational technology and data-driven instruction.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with families and colleagues.
- Commitment to inclusive practices and equity in education.
