Responsibility
- Plan and deliver engaging literacy, numeracy, science and humanities lessons for students in Years 1–6, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
- Create a positive, inclusive classroom culture that supports wellbeing, behaviour management, and student engagement.
- Assess and monitor student progress using formative and summative methods; provide timely feedback to students, families, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement curricular units aligned to the Victorian Curriculum and school targets.
- Integrate technology and ICT tools to enhance learning, including interactive whiteboards, tablets, and learning management systems.
- Plan and participate in supervision, assemblies, excursions, and school events to foster a thriving school community.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and reflect on practice to improve student outcomes.
- Maintain accurate student records and contribute to safeguarding and child safety compliance.
Qualification
- Bachelor degree in Education or an approved teaching qualification
- Eligible for or current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
- Minimum 2 years of primary teaching experience preferred
- Strong classroom management and positive behaviour support strategies
- Ability to differentiate instruction and assess students using a range of formats
- Excellent communication skills with students, families, and colleagues
- Knowledge of the Victorian Curriculum and planning program; experience with assessment
- Commitment to child safety and willingness to undertake safeguarding training
