You will collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and families to design engaging, standards-aligned lessons that meet diverse needs and help every student reach their potential.
Responsibility
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons for primary grades (K-5).
- Assess student progress using formative and summative methods; maintain accurate records.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and styles.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that supports social-emotional development.
- Collaborate with co-teachers, specialists, and parents to support student success.
- Integrate technology and hands-on activities to enhance learning.
- Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions with positive reinforcement.
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives and professional learning communities.
Qualification
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) or a degree with teaching certification eligible in Canada.
- Teaching experience in primary grades; new graduates with practicum experience welcome.
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario curriculum (or local curriculum) and assessment strategies.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with families, staff, and students.
- Ability to design inclusive, differentiated instruction and track progress.
- Proficiency with educational technology and data-informed instruction.
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and creating a positive classroom culture.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada and current criminal record check.
