Responsibility
- Plan and deliver high-quality, age-appropriate lessons for primary students (Years 1-6) in line with national and state standards.
- Create an inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learners, including EAL and students with additional needs.
- Assess student progress using baseline and ongoing assessments; provide meaningful feedback to students and families.
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and leaders to design engaging interdisciplinary units.
- Manage classroom routines, behavior, and welfare to maintain a positive, safe classroom environment.
- Implement differentiated instruction and use data to inform instructional decisions.
- Engage with families through regular communication and parent-teacher conferences.
- Integrate technology and digital literacy into lessons and daily practice.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Education or equivalent; Teaching Registration/Teacher Certification (e.g., Victorian Institute of Teaching or approved equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience in primary education with a track record of improving student outcomes.
- Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum (AC) and assessment practices.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to inclusive education and differentiation for diverse learners.
- Ability to integrate ICT and digital learning tools into instruction.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and school events.
- Genuine passion for nurturing curiosity, creativity, and well-being.
